Verification and Validation - Quad Log - Engineering Specialized In Critical SystemsThe verification and validation (V&V) activities development cycle of a project is defined as a set of activities destined to guarantee the correction and completeness regarding the meeting of client needs during all phases of the project lifecycle, since the initial phases until implementation. The following figure depicts the modular V&C cycle:
The verification activities are show on the left side of the “V” cycle and permit to assure and demonstrate the conformity of the output of a given project development activity, concerning the input requirements of each phase of the project. The validation activities are show on the right side of the “V” cycle and permit to assure that the tests of each phase were correctly and completely realized and that they are enough to validate each phase, until system level is reached. They permit to guarantee that the system does what was specified and that does not have non-conformities, errors or defects that will hinder its adequate operation.
